Internet Explorer really bites the big one. I am at a location/pc that only allows me to use this sorry excuse for a web-browser. I typed a post yesterday, tried to publish it and this stupid browser flaked out on me and lost my post!
People magazine picked the Sexiest Man today, I wonder when they will call me. A little history of the WWW. Is a MacPro with 3gb of RAM slower than one with 2gb? Speaking of MacPro’s, if you don’t like four cores in your Mac, try eight. A long explanation of graphics on the next gen consoles. What is the right price for HD and SD content through Xbox Live? If your startup failed, just trash the business plan and start over. The Zune is all over the place and getting not so stellar reviews. On the Today show they compared the Zune to the 4th generation iPod. What a bunch of tools. Its the Colonel from space! A great rant about UMG vs. Music Consumers. Should we ditch E-voting and just jump straight into voting over the internet? There is a team out there trying to make sure MS Windows doesnt crash as much. In my home state of Texas, if your car is seized, government officials will drive it. My wife would never let me do this. Is open-source over hyped? This is one wild place to work. Ten things learned from the Fantastic Four. 1080p isnt all that it is cracked up to be. Wii vs. PS3, one of many showdowns. A cartoon room?

What’s going on everyone? I ran across this site for OpenDNS. It seems like it is speeding up page loading for flash/graphics intensive websites. You just change a few settings in your router and that’s it. So far it seems like it works quite well, it will still allow you to “torrent” files, if that is your thing. I did run into one problem, after I made the change to my router, I had to reboot the router and restart my browser. Give it a shot if you like.

1080p isn’t so important after-all. Digital freedom is a load a crap when coming from CEA. Table-top jukebox redone for the 21st century. No harm caused by the Grey Album, but EMI is still ticked about it. Aggreg8, it is like Myspace for IT geeks. Social and Enterprise groupware explained. The 25 greatest computers ever! The ancient Mitsu Lancer. Pogue knocks down the Zune a few notches. The nerf-hearder got a Zune early. A leather Zune jukebox, funky! House all of your media under one box. People want a paperless meeting. Forget that I just want to go to a meeting where something actually gets done. Vista is so good, it doesn’t need anti-virus. Is Microsoft going to limit the functionality of Vista if you pirate it? Even before launch of Vista, someone has cracked it. Google says speed matters the most. Apple is about to get funky with their prices in iTunes. Another Fall movie preview, but this one is hilarious. The RIAA is being questioned about their fines and practices.

We arent you glad that Election night has come in gone. You know what that means, we have a break until the first of the year from politics talk. Then they will start ramping up for the big Pres election for 2008. Then they will really drive us nuts with all the freaking ads. I was a little miffed when I went downstairs for lunch today and found that the President was on talking more politics. Now onto the show…….
A couple things happening with Microsoft today. Are they planning on taking over entertainment in your living room? It looks like Vista might actually ship now! Open source software doesnt mean free software. The Rumsfeld resignation summarized by OS X. A Dell customer actually got out of paying the MS Windows tax. The Office, my wife and I’s favorite show on TV, is bringing sexy back. Are those high-speed memory cards worth a flip? Will the 360 as a video platform work? If you don’t like a service, you should be able to take your data with you. How to transcode your video so you can stream it to your 360. Do not collect G0W!

I actually had to work yesterday. At least, yesterday afternoon I really had to work. But today it was mostly checking on things for the first half an hour then getting back into my routine of spelunking for links.
Rumors afoot of a new entry level DSLR from Nikon, looks promising. HD content is coming soon to Xbox 360! I cannot wait for this! I may actually spend some money on the downloads! I am just jonesin’ for some new HD content! Will ABC’s Lost come to XBOX Live’s newly announced video download system? Looks like your new Windows Vista pc will come with its own domain name. AOL has a new dev site, too bad they still suck. That is one fast Silverado! Do you need to get to work averaging 225 mph? Digg.com in 3D, just amazing. Just what is the best firewall out there? Multi-display Windows Vista users with have problems if they use different drivers. Not getting along with your customers? Well then chuck one of these bad boys at them! Displays are going to have DRM embedded in them. I don’t mind that they are doing this, as long as it works and doesn’t interfere with every dang thing! Jedi Squirrels? Don’t back it up locally! How to make an apple cannon!

A longer post today since I had one already to go, but didn’t get to post it yesterday. It just amazes me how a large corporation can have so many meetings where nothing gets done at all. They are having a meeting just to sound important and to kill time it seems.
Will the Xbox 360 offer HD downloads? I hope so, ever since I have had Charter’s HD service, I am just jonesing for HD content all the time. I sure could use one of these, I take too many pictures. Maryland’s Diebold Voting systems are crap! Scrambled or over-easy? Why is Apple having such a hard time with movie studios? Software is going to suck! Is your graphics card up to snuff for Windows Vista? I can tell you mine isn’t. Custom, portable Mac Mini. More tips and tricks for Photoshop. A softer, nicer Seagate. This guy really hates his Comcast HD DVR box. When the RIAA lawsuit can’t get your mom, sic’em on the kiddies! Microsoft has revamped the License Agreement again. Tell Mr. Jobs that Wal-Mart is evil! The birth of Boba Fett. Are you going to outsource yourself? Nice Lambo, very Fernando/Renault! My wife already tells me I spend way too much time in the home office, if I had this, she’d rip my sack off! Ken Jennings of Jeopardy fame, has a dry sense of humor. The price is wrong b1tch! It is easter egg time once again! Hopefully this stop on the Information Superhighway isn’t TL;DR.

It is 11.20ish in the AM here. What have I done today? I have visited the Helium Capital of the World, Cadillac Ranch and the Big Texan.
W3C is gonna annouce something huge! Like a water-skiing beagle. They are still planning on making a Speed Racer movie. How much will that suck? Sounds like Microsoft really screwed over Sony TV owners with this last update that was just pushed out for Xbox 360 owners. With the last update though, you can stream Amazon Unbox movies to the 360. The Office got saved by iTunes. This is just sad. Is all this hype about IPTV going to come true? I hope so, it sounds like a great concept. This article should be titled, “When your boss is a dick!” Someone doesn’t like PayPal. They are making a Shrek 4??? I think they are trying to squeeze a bit too much out of the franchise. A year in review story already. Screw Thanksgiving and Christmas, just skip to the end of the year.
Back to doing nothing for the rest of my day.

It is 9a and I have done nothing all morning. That is one mother of a display. Ken and Alex are still buddies. The PS3 is a flux-capacitor. Another Black Friday ad is released. One Snickers bar, coming up! A tour of the operations center at XBOX Live. Nice toilet seat. When music kicked the bucket. A Honda beer-tap. Are the sys-admins reading emails?
